A Broken Heart is Like a Souffle

When you have a broken heart, it often feels like you’ve been put through a food processor and your heart has become a pile of mush.

But let’s remember: an egg must be broken before it can become a souffle. When you add things to that food processor with the eggs — flour, chocolate and self-love — you’ve got the makings of a really beautiful creation.

What’s more, souffles are known for one thing: They RISE. So let’s rise together in this heartbreak journey, and turn our pain into something different. Even so a broken heart takes you to a different place than you expected, you don’t have to be stuck in that food processor. After awhile, the pain can transform into something really beautiful. Let’s see what new recipes we can create together!

And maybe while you’re at it, make yourself a souffle! This one from Claire Saffitz with the NYT will be a great start.
